I was only here overnight. I stopped during my road trip to Florida. It was dark when I drove in and I slept in my truck. I had a tiny fire for a couple hours and went to bed. There was a skunk that was digging around the leaf brush near my site but it seemed to be used to people. You never smelled it! I had a view of Barkley Lake and the sunrise the next morning from my site was gorgeous! The birds were singing beautifully and everything else was silent. So although I didn't stay long, that was the best of the 3 nights I spent on the road; one of those 3 nights were in a hotel as well!

Great location for visiting Tulsa. Went downtown twice and had a great time. The campsite was wide and easy to back into.

This was my second stay at the COE Canal campground on Lake Barkley. Our site was a pull through, relatively level, with power and water. The dump station was easy to access when we left. It is convenient to the interstate, but take time to visit Land Between the Lakes, with a chance to see Bison and Elk herds.

Our particular site along with several others we saw had been refreshed. New (level) gravel, new picnic tables and fire pits. We always enjoy staying here.

The Canal Campground is our favorite. The restrooms are really nice, my Grandbabies like the playground and the beach is kept clean. The attendants are really nice and helpful. There’s just to many things to list.
