Camp Nelson RV Park

This park had a bad flood last year and they had alot of damage including the pool. It will not be ready for use until next summer. The laundry room looked nice with newer machines. I didn't use as I have a washer in my toyhauler. They also have bathrooms and showers but I never used them or had a chance to check them out. They have full hookups which worked great. We have never had such good water pressure in any other camp ground, it was the best. They have alot of full time campers here but everyone was very friendly. The owner and workers were all very helpful and friendly. They have picnic tables at all sites. And firepits at most. This campground is next to the Kentucky river and very convenient for visiting Lexington Kentucky. Overall we had a good experience here and would return to visit family next year.

The campground was pretty rough, wet and lots of old RV's that needed removed. Electricity was good, people were friendly, just not enough for us to go back.

This is our second time staying at this campground. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The campground has been hit very hard two times this yr by flooding and it shows. I seen them working everyday trying to fix and clean it back up and I know from my past experiences with flooding they will eventually get there. I wish them the best and if we're ever in the area again, I would definitely go back. So if anyone is looking for a safe kid and animal friendly place to stay go there.

Great place to visit and either camp or drive/tow your RV to. This pla e is a hidden gem that is quiet, clean, and never packed with campers, travelers, and sucb. There are showers, bathrooms, plenty of room to walk around. There are a lot of places to go and explore. There is a swimming hole about 5 minutes from there. You need to see Trudie who will take care of you. See pictures for the swimming hole.

Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed 2023 Memorial Day Weekend. You might have enjoyed the DJ at the pool more than we did but they shut down at 10 PM quiet hours. Nice pool. Like most campgrounds in the USA most campsites look to be permanent full time or seasonal residents. Still they made room for us over the holiday weekend. Full hookups but our sewer connection was 40 feet from the camper so my hoses didn't reach. Campground very far off the Interstate. Try to stay on the US Highways getting there. Google Maps led us on some County roads that were scary towing a travel trailer. Overall we were very pleased but probably too far off the Interstate for us to go there again. Oh, and there was a herd of goats on the road just outside the campground. Not an everyday sight, not loose roaming the roadside.
