This was our first time at this campground and we were not disappointed. The young ladies at the store/welcome area were extremely nice and eager to help in any way. Kevin and his wife were exceptional campground hosts always willing to answer any questions or lend a helping hand. Our 4 year old grand daughter loved the playground and pool. We were so impressed I am looking to schedule two more visits before the years end.

We really enjoyed our time at this RV park. While it may be a little challenging to get to and there are strict arrival times, it is absolutely worth it! The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.
A special thank you to Kevin, who assisted us with a small water issue and stopped by daily to make sure everything was still working properly. That level of customer service is hard to find and was greatly appreciated.
The park is peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and enjoyable RV experience.

Took our new Rpod on her maiden voyage to this campground along with our friends who are seasoned campers but have never been here. We arrived first and after checking in I texted my friend and said “the staff are SO nice here!” We thought the sites were roomy and easy to access. SUPER clean across the whole park. Beautiful scenery with the river on one side and woods on the other. It was pretty full when we were there but SO quiet and peaceful. Then to have entertainment and a food truck on the weekend so you don’t have to cook one night?!? What a bonus!!! We didn’t end up using the pool but it also looked super clean and a nice place to hang out. I’m not sure how any where else we go is going to measure up if this was our first campground in Kentucky!!!
We’ve already booked our spots for October!!! 10/10

We did not really read reviews before booking, this is on us. The roads heading into this RV park are narrow and foliage is not trimmed for 2 way traffic, 5-6 miles. We were traveling in a 37’ Motorhome and one of the few class A’s in the park for the 3 nights we were there. Staff was friendly at check in , but in a “move along” way, we did not see anyone after that. Even though we were in a pull through site, they insisted we disconnect our tow prior to pulling into our site. Not sure why, it would have been no problem. The utilities were interesting, water is 40’ from the center of the lot and the 50 amp electric outlet was cracked and in poor repair. The lots are tight and if you’re not in the center pull through, cars are lined up in front of the campers like big city- on street parking. The off river trail was not cut and had 2 foot plus grass and we turned around fearing our dog would get ticks. The river was nice, but really not that accessible. It’s a popular park, so I guess we missed the appeal. Not close to the bourbon trail, go closer to Frankfort.

This was a nice campground and beautiful setting with numerous outdoor activities if you want. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening and food truck opportunities. We were there on Memorial Day weekend and most campsites were occupied. Clean bathhouse. Slow drive in and out due to being in a rural natural area and we expected that. The wifi and cell service was not great which is usually what you'd expect for a campground in an area like this so if that is a must have this campground may not be for you. I'd recommend Cummin's Ferry!
