What Guests Are Saying
Moutardier Campground offers beautiful lake views, well-maintained sites, and a friendly atmosphere, making it a popular choice for campers. Many reviews highlight the cleanliness of the facilities and the helpfulness of the staff and volunteers. However, some bathrooms require maintenance, and there are occasional complaints about campsite spacing and noise from nearby boaters, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Beautiful country and beautiful campground. The sites were a little tight but we loved the tiered effect. Gives everyone a nice view of the lake. We went in the fall when it was not very busy and less noisy but was also a little cooler. Our only downside was getting chiggers from our hike in the woods. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay. Also very close to Mammoth Cave.

Absolutely loved our visit, beautiful late fall weather. Site was on the lake and such a lovely view to wake up to. It was well maintained. Site hosts were very approachable and helpful. We loved just hanging around the campsite relaxing, kayaking, and hiking the lakeside trail. We did take one day trip to Bowling Green.

Great campground, the biggest problem is getting a reservation on the site you want. There is a trick that is used to get a site a few days outside the 6 month window.
The Red Roof Café just outside is a good place to take a break from cooking .

Moutardier is always well maintained. The views of the lake are phenomenal. The camp attendants, Linda and Dwight, are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The volunteers, Danny and Jewel, are great people to know and really keep up on the site cleanup and water safety..not so much the other volunteers who seemed never to be there. We have really enjoyed our stay there.
