Mammoth Cave Campground

We had a one-night stay at Mammoth Campground and found it to be very convenient for accessing nearby and the park, which was a big plus for our trip. The location made it easy to get where we needed to go without a lot of extra driving.
One area for improvement would be clearer signage for campsite assignments—especially for guests arriving after office hours, as it was a bit difficult to identify our spot. It would also be helpful to have access to firewood after hours, perhaps using an honor system for late arrivals.
Overall, a convenient and enjoyable stay with a few opportunities to make the experience even smoother for guests.

Campground is well managed and clean. Plenty of staff on hand to assist with any emergencies. Great to have running water in the bathrooms. Awesome hiking. Nice to have a nearby restaurant and all the amenities you need to make your stay the best it can be.

Great campground! Quiet, clean bathrooms. And hot showers. Nice fire ring with grill. Campsites were nicely spaced.

Loved our camping experience here. The tours were outstanding- definitely worth the time!

Beautiful campground with large, level sites. Restrooms have running cold water and flush toilets. Walking path to the lodge and visitor center. Camp store located on site, but we did not use it.

Mammoth Cave NP has been getting some much needed updates over the past couple of years and it shows especially in the visitor center and lodge facilities which are now well above average.

The campgrounds near the visitor center and lodge are well maintained and managed but the campgrounds near facilities are in dire need of upgrades and improvements.

The coin operated, yes I said coin operated, showers are disgustingly bad and outdated.

The camp store was staffed by very nice folks but they were plagued by POS issues that required hand writing orders and receipts for food and supply purchases as well as using a pocket calculator to add up purchases which they struggled with.

Mammoth Cave is a national treasure that needs some TLC but is still wya visit.

We loved our stay at Mammoth Cave. We stayed for 3 days, and the campsite was perfect. A gravel pad with drainage below, concrete tables, and an amazing fire pit. Truly a new favorite. The only downside was the pay showers; bring your quarters, it’s a $1.50 for the shortest shower. Women's shower has a door with a place to hang a towel; men's does not.

Staying here was the perfect choice for our 3- day stay and exploration of the cave.

Loved this park. Bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The cave tour was amazing. Like to do a longer one next time. The one and only complaint was I felt our camp site was very close to the next person.
