Site 98D is a pull through. Nice site, although we did have to raise the right side of the trailer much higher than the left. The bathroom in D section was very clean. If you need to shower it is at the Camp Store and costs $1.50 for about 3-4 minutes and then a quarter for each additional 30 seconds. We did not need the shower. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Visitor Center and all the hiking trails in the area.

I had a nice one night stay over Memorial Day weekend. Campground was full, but it didn’t feel full. It didn’t feel like a lot of people. My spot had lots of nice shade. It was not very level though. Overall, it was a great stay nice and close to the visitor center for my evening cave tour.

Had a great time, even in the persistent rain. The campground was clean and quiet, and we even had some deer grazing in the empty campsite next to us!

Angola’s the best three days! Our campsite 33b was close to a very clean bathroom which made having a roof nest on our truck the perfect place! The only thing I would recommend is that is rain is coming this site sits in a slope where all the water drains through it! It did become a mud puddle to navigate our set up supply’s.

Our campsite D097, was alright, but is downhill from the other sites, making it prone to flooding when it rains (which happened during our stay). The water has also caused significant erosion around the parking pad leading to a drop off of up to a foot to ground level. Still a serviceable site, but could use some restoration work. Bathrooms were good. Wish the trash dumpsters were a little closer.

I really enjoyed ourselves. It was wonderful seeing the deer come through the camp during the day and everybody was respectful and left them alone. It was great

- Note: Do not rely exclusively on your mobile GPS, Google Maps or similar automated navigation systems to get to the Mammoth Cave Campground. Routes can be misleading and incorrect.
- Directions from the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
- Directions from the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 65, with exits at Cave City (Exit 53) and Park City (Exit 48) leading to KY-70 and KY-255, respectively. These highways connect to the Mammoth Cave Parkway, which provides access to the campground.
