The bathrooms need to be updated to include showers. It's ridiculous to have to pay to take a shower in a National Park.

The cave tours were fun. We went on the historic tour with a 5 year old, a 7 year old and 2 in theory 70s along with my wife and I in our late 30s. Everyone managed the 2 miles well and had a great time. We also hiked some of the trails which is something you want to remember, the surface of the park is gorgeous too

Our campsite was nice and level. Bathrooms were close, but trail lights weren't working. The campground is very dark, and those lights would have made navigation to restrooms alot easier. Showers took a bit to figure out, as far as getting the temperature right.

A huge thank you to the Park Rangers taking care of our national monuments during the shutdown. The facilities were pristine, and even though the cave was under limited operations, the trails were well maintained, and everyone I came into contact with was smiling and helpful, and I'm so happy I spent two days there!

We appreciated that the campground stayed open even during the shut down. Mammoth Cave campground is a beautiful place to camp.

Camping during the shutdown was less than ideal, still nice but lacking in several respects.
Planning the trip 6 months in advance leaves little choice but to go on the trip, which was limited in regards to facilities access including the cave system. Also the camp area was very messy with leaves and branches and acorns everywhere. It did not seem as though the site selection was really being tracked….

I totally appreciate being able to make a last minute on-line reservation at your park. Unlike some States. Even when no park personnel are around. I was passing through the area after dark in the rain and got tired. You provided me with safe harbor to park and sleep. Without boondocking in some unknown parking lot that may have been unsafe, even though I am fully self contained.

Mammoth Cave NP is an incredible destination for visitors of all ages. Campground site was large and well maintained with clean restrooms- with hot water. Wish there were showers but there’s a camp store that offers showers.

- Note: Do not rely exclusively on your mobile GPS, Google Maps or similar automated navigation systems to get to the Mammoth Cave Campground. Routes can be misleading and incorrect.
- Directions from the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
- Directions from the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 65, with exits at Cave City (Exit 53) and Park City (Exit 48) leading to KY-70 and KY-255, respectively. These highways connect to the Mammoth Cave Parkway, which provides access to the campground.
