I enjoy this beautiful park. The campground isn’t fancy but the sites are pretty and well separated. It’s a short walk to the Visitor Center where the cave tours begin. The gift shop is nice with lots of interesting items.

Beautiful campground with clean bathrooms, a nice Visitor’s center, and the caves are interesting and super fun to explore. A lot of construction going on and many trails closed, but in a year or so this will be a top notch park.

We started out with the Extended Self-Guided Cave Tour, thinking that would offer us enough cave experience. It only whet our appetite, and we went on to take the Historic Tour, Frozen Niagara Tour, Great Onyx Lantern Tour, and Echo River Springs Walk with Ranger Miriam Matthias. We also hiked the Dixon Cave Trail, Green River Bluffs Trail, River Styx Spring Trail, Whites Cave Trail, and part of the Sinkhole Trail (up to where it was closed for construction). The Flat Hat Chats were very interesting, and the Visitor Center had great displays and education about cave formation, sinkholes, and ecology of the area.
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and stayed until Tuesday morning. It was a wonderful trip!

Site 046 B gets 3/5 stars because there is a huge dead tree right next to wear our tent would have been. Not safe at all for anyone, especially with 3 small children. Was unable to find any ranger or campground host to address this situation. Overall nice campground and if the dead tree is removed, the site will be excellent for a large tent. Nice spots for hammocks.

The good: A beautiful park.
The not-so-good: My site definitely got water-logged in the rain. The bathroom trash in the women's stalls was never emptied (I was there for two nights). The showers are quarter-operated which was not specified on the website when I booked. It's such a scam to pay for a campsite and also have to pay for showers.

Beautiful campground, one of the best I've experienced. Ranger Christine at the entrance was so helpful and welcoming. Loved it.
