My husband and I were only there for one night, but it was a pleasant one. The campground is well laid out and quite full of people, especially families. We were there on a Friday night though, so I suppose that is to be expected. Nice bathrooms. No showers in the campground, although coin operated ones were nearby. Our only complaint is the little RV nearby was running it's loud generator while the lady sat outside and smoked her cigarettes. Folks like that should just stay at home and leave the peacefulness of nature to those trying to enjoy it.

Really great sites for hammock camping. Campground was peaceful despite being full when I stayed. Wonderful nearby trails and night event put on by the park staff. Campground host, nearby store - every person I encountered was amazing. Be ready for no cell service and bring quarters/cash for the showers.

Ranger on duty was very helpful and moved our site as the original site was sloped and would have been difficult to level. Also learned that when a pass is purchased at the park most stays there for their use so I purchased my Senior Pass there and they also refunded part of my cave tours for the discount- all were very helpful

We loved being at this campground, the pay for showers were fine but nothing great. The staff was all super helpful and the place was quiet. My son and I really enjoyed the cave tour also.

Campsites are fairly close together and there are no showers on site. Bathrooms were fine. Easy to find your spot.

The camp site was in walking distance to the visitor center, the historic entrance, hiking trails, and Caver’s - perfect spot for ice cream at the end of the day. Highly recommend the clean campground with helpful friendly rangers, clean bathrooms, and the most reasonable prices! Don’t miss the programs the amphitheater - which is in walking distance!

Really nice campground. It was well kept, quiet, close to many activities in the park- hiking, tours, bike trail etc. We really loved going to the ranger talks in the evening.

It's a beautiful area. Nice clean campground. Camp sites are spacious and well equipped. Showers are pay by quarter and for a 10 min shower it's about $8. Laundry on site. Also pay by quarter. Campground has a store you can go to. This is not a campground where they have bear bins. Book tours well in advance. There's no cell service to book when you get there and they all sell out in advance or the few left in the morning sell out immediately.

- Note: Do not rely exclusively on your mobile GPS, Google Maps or similar automated navigation systems to get to the Mammoth Cave Campground. Routes can be misleading and incorrect.
- Directions from the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
- Directions from the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 65, with exits at Cave City (Exit 53) and Park City (Exit 48) leading to KY-70 and KY-255, respectively. These highways connect to the Mammoth Cave Parkway, which provides access to the campground.
