The staff is great here. From the woman who checked us in(friendly, knowledgeable and fast) to the guy working the gift shop (efficient, personable and funny). Really they're the only reason our time at this park was better than ok. You pay more to camp here, but all of the "amenities" are old and in much need to repair and/or updating. For example: you pay $39/night to camp but then you have to pay $1.50 for four minutes of shower time! The showers are absolutely disgusting. They have broken tile floors and rusty old coin boxes.

Camp ground was nice and clean and the elevated drive ways saved our butts with all the flooding that took place. All I'd ask is that you give the staff more hours to do what they need and to have the gate manned 24/7

While there’s nothing particularly special or unusual about the campground, it has always been quiet and well kept.

The camp ground at mammoth cave was great there are shuttle buses to take you to the cave and there are other cave systems around and bowling green is a half hour drive south to other places to visit there is also plenty of places to choose from to eat if your not eating at the camp site

No complaints. We camped 3 nights l, took the Grand Ave Tour one day and the River Styx tour the next. Construction was a minor inconvenience. However, I understand it’s necessary and did not take away from our stay.

The campground was beautiful. The bathrooms were a nice surprise with flush toilets. We had a deer grazing in the back of our site one night. I really enjoyed the campground and cave tours. We would definitely come back again.

This campsite was easy to access and right near the Visitor Center. The staff was friendly. The sites were spread out enough to allow some privacy. The bathrooms were clean and the caves were such an awesome experience.

Wow! What a great experience. Our site was beautiful, close to clean and flushable bathrooms, and not far from showers- many people walked back and forth. Picnic table and fire ring very durable and the wooded area provided a lot of shade.

- Note: Do not rely exclusively on your mobile GPS, Google Maps or similar automated navigation systems to get to the Mammoth Cave Campground. Routes can be misleading and incorrect.
- Directions from the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
- Directions from the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 65, with exits at Cave City (Exit 53) and Park City (Exit 48) leading to KY-70 and KY-255, respectively. These highways connect to the Mammoth Cave Parkway, which provides access to the campground.
