Campsite was clean, close to visitor center. Large family behind us camping that partied and was loud throughout the night so we left a night early. Campground and facilities were nice & clean (must pay for a shower at camp store) , location was great, though no enforcement of quiet hours making it tough to sleep even with us being heavy sleepers

Had a really enjoyable time! Staff was friendly and helpful when we were asking about places to visit. The trails were easy to walk and informative with historical accounts posted along the way.

Quiet and peaceful camping. Other campers were respectful of noise and privacy. Rangers were very helpful. Enjoyed the evening presentation on canoes

We absolutely loved our time visiting the mammoth cave national park. It was so affordable. We really enjoy our lot - it was perfectly shaded and the grounds are beautiful. We did the kayaking trip down the street as well and got to enjoy a 3 hour trip down the river. Perfect little weekend trip. Will be returning for sure!

There were pluses and minuses: Plus: clean restrooms and access to showers that were clean was a bonus. It was convenient to walk to the visitors center and do tours without driving. Negatives: Our site was sloped and not the original one we booked. We were not told why until bringing it up to the camp host.. (I guess they were taking down a tree in the morning before our arrival). It would have been nice to get to "choose from open spots rather than an assigned one that was bisected by two roads near the entrance. The other negative: no dishwashing place and had to use the toilet to discard dishwater. Suggestions: have a dishwashing station, and perhaps have a critter cabinet at the tent sites....Due to raccoons, we had to pack all materials in the car and discard trash daily and nightly, anytime when leaving the site.

- Note: Do not rely exclusively on your mobile GPS, Google Maps or similar automated navigation systems to get to the Mammoth Cave Campground. Routes can be misleading and incorrect.
- Directions from the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
- Directions from the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 65, with exits at Cave City (Exit 53) and Park City (Exit 48) leading to KY-70 and KY-255, respectively. These highways connect to the Mammoth Cave Parkway, which provides access to the campground.
