Nice, clean, quiet campground.
There is a walking path to get to the welcome center so you don’t have to deal with trying to find parking at the main lot.

Mammoth Cave Campground offers beautiful, well-maintained sites with ample tree cover, providing a quiet and peaceful camping experience. Campers appreciate the convenient access to the visitor center and various trails, along with friendly and attentive staff. This campground was nice. We had a flat space. It got busy over the weekend but was still quiet. This area had access to walking trails and bike trails. Clean restrooms. We would stay here again if visiting Mammoth Cave.

Our campsite was wonderful! For being such a big campground, our site felt very secluded, but still convenient to the amenities! If we went back, we would try to stay at the spot again.

This was my first camping trip, and what a great campground! We stayed in loop C for the first two nights, then moved to loop A for our final night. As tent campers, loop A was much quieter without the generators, and the soap dispenser in the loop C bathroom was broken. The paths connecting to the nearby trailheads and the visitors center are conveniently placed and well lit at night. The camp store had exactly what we needed: cold drinks, firewood, a replacement fuel canister for the one we forgot, and a magnet for the car. This was such a great impression of a frontcountry campsite and we cant wait to be back next year

So we reserved a tent-only site in the tent-only A loop, looking for quiet. I suppose I missed this when reserving, but that loop has group sites... and a huge and very loud boy scout troop was there the same night we were. Surely not the fault of the campground, but be aware that the A-loop has those group sites!
