Mosquitoes was horrible. The grass needed to be mowed. The rangers would drive right by someone but would stop an tell the next person they can’t park in the grass.

Within the last 2 years, we've noticed that there has not been any hand soap in any of the restrooms. We buy hand soap to put in the restrooms. It's very unsanitary to not have hands soap in the restrooms.

Our new favorite spot, it is so peaceful, right on the water and across from the bathrooms.

The campground was much quieter and was shady. We experienced an issue with the 30 amp power receptacle, we reported the issue to the volunteer that evening and the following morning the repairman was there to correct it. A job well done.

  • Off-road vehicles are not permitted
  • Park Attendant can be reached while on duty at (270) 257-2584. If no answer, contact the Rough River Lake U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office at (270) 257-2061.
  • $5 per day boat ramp fee
  • Reservations will not be marked in advance at the campsite. Do not set up at any campsite without reserving the site first.
  • Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
  • Generators and other noise-producing devices must be turned off during this time.
