Axtel is a laid back place. I don't go there for attractions - I go for the ambience. Honestly, just to be lazy. There is a wonderful diner called Little Dave's that I frequent when there. Do some shore line fishing, and ride my bicycle through the park.

We had site A26. It states shade, there was no shade, full sun from morning to night. The "shade" that was spoken of must have been from the dead trees by the site. Speaking of trees, a crew of workers came in one day and spent several hours using chainsaws and bulldozers, talk about disturbing the peace and serenity. Overall it was a fair trip this time.
