What Guests Are Saying
Twin Knobs Campground offers a beautiful, wooded setting with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the easy access to the lake, well-maintained facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family activities like fishing and swimming. Some concerns include check-in processes and the absence of water hookups at most sites, but overall, it remains a favored destination for campers.

The site was great, but I have never met a more hateful Camp host than the one at this location. And she was hateful for no reason. First she accused me of running over a campsite number post with my BRAND NEW van (which was miraculously unscathed from the event- because I didn’t do it!) and then was incredibly hateful because I pulled into an empty campsite so my husband could hook up to the camper a few minutes before we were leaving for good. Other campers even commented about it. (Her screaming was heard at multiple sites.)
Not to mention, the bathrooms stayed nasty. Or locked. (I’m assuming so they didn’t have to clean them???) Didn’t matter what time of day it was, they were dirty with much of the same filth that had been there the day before.
We’ve camped dozens of times at Twin Knobs and never had a problem. The weather was great, the site was beautiful, but the camp host was a big no, sadly. (We normally love the hosts because they are friendly older couples who stop to chat.)

Excellent place to camp. Plenty of space between campsites. Thousand trails does an excellent job.

A favorite spot with gorgeous scenery, hikes, clean restrooms/showers and the rangers are the most helpful anywhere!

I love this Twin Knobs campground. The staff are very warm, funny and friendly. The campground is very well maintained, the sites are well spaced out and we always have a great time. Looking forward to coming back!

What a great week away! It felt secluded even though there were lots of other campers around. We hiked every day around the campground and went up the trail on one of the knobs (?) of Twin Knobs. It was great! Every day was beautiful. We will definitely go again!

Twin Knobs is one of our favorite places to camp. We stay on A Loop in order to have close boat access. The shower houses need attention. The shower would run for about 30 seconds and shut off, just enough time to get warm. There was also no shower curtain, which made for a cold, uncomfortable shower. Fortunately, we were able to shower in my families other camper. The trails have been cleaned up this year and the sites are always kept clean and brush cut back. Hosts are always helpful and courteous. My family had sites A32 and A33 both are pretty level and large. We had a huge persimmon tree over us dropping persimmons. We ate our fill of them while sharing with the squirrels. Each site had picnic tables and fire rings. Water access was close to these two sites.

Twin Knobs was a very clean and quiet campground. We stayed at site A25, which was perfect for us; it was surrounded by lots of trees, the site was very level, and we were close to several short trails leading down to the lake. Highly recommend this campground.

Great campground the only thing that really needs improvement is most all campsites need a lot of work on the blacktop sites they really damaged. They are damaging to tires on your truck and camper.
