The gentleman at the gate house (Bennie) was outstanding. Very helpful, happy and started my experience with laughs. The campsites (I had 2) were clean, easy to access and QUIET. I will definitely be coming back.

Camp Spot H38 is awesome ! The Site is huge ,clean and secluded! 30 amp and 20 amp is all that’s available and water is available in the loop but not close enough for a hose. New fire pit and level pad. Only thing I wish U.S. forest service would invest in is remodeling the Bath house !

We stayed on a Sunday night and a Monday night. We arrived after hours so there was no one there when we drove in. The campground was empty and quiet. Our spot G02 was nice, but it wasn't as close to the restrooms as I thought when I booked it based on the map. However, it had cell signal, and we were really happy about that. The bathrooms weren't clean (there were used q-tips and things sitting out and around) and were full of spiders. I had one jump on me while I was peeing, and I was nervous about showering because they were all in the shower area. On Monday morning, I drove out to check in and asked about the road to the beach. I was told it wouldn't be opened because there weren't that many people in the campground and there were no activities planned. We took the dogs for a walk a couple of hours later, and it had been opened for a family to come in and have a cookout. It wasn't awful, but I don't think I would want to go back.

I've been camping here for years, needs to have a little refresh. Campsites could use a little gravel, bathhouses needs to be painted inside and repairs made to some other small things. But the hosts are great and doing a good job cleaning, the facility just needs a little bit of TLC. But overall I had a great time and so did my daughter and friends.

The camping spot was clean quiet and perfect! We had a beautiful view and a quick walk to the water, where the kids stayed swimming! Didn’t even have to drive to the beach, which we also did and it was great too! Will definitely be back!

Quiet at the campground. Saw several deer, some turkeys came within 15 yards of the campsite and saw a bobcat on the way in. Caught fish and enjoyed swimming.
