What Guests Are Saying
Zilpo Campground is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for many long-time visitors. While some amenities, such as hot water availability and maintenance support, have declined, most campers still enjoy the private, serene sites and the access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. However, issues like noise from other campers and limited store supplies have been noted, highlighting areas for improvement.

Such beautiful, secluded sites! Perfect if you want to feel alone in the woods (and for paddlers who can get into the water from the edge of the campsite). I put up a hammock at the edge of the lake and lay there for hours.
The water was off in our loop, which might have been due to the season or to the tree that had fallen on the bathhouse. But heading to another loop for water was a minor inconvenience for such a great site!

Even though there was no power due to hurricane Helene it was a beautiful campground with spacious sites. Enjoyed the view of the lake and taking the path along it.

We camped at G7 and had a wonderful time. Campsites felt very private and comfortable, great tent pads and large picnic tables. The camp hosts were the best! They worked very hard cleaning debris and preparing for campers even days after the hurricane blew through. The lake was amazing and the trail around from the boat dock to the swimming area was easy and fun to meander. Fishing off the banks was fun and easy access, though we didn't have much success fishing this time. Bring tick and mosquito repellant, just part of the whole experience! The bathrooms were clean and well kept.
