What Guests Are Saying
Twin Knobs Campground offers a beautiful, wooded setting with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the easy access to the lake, well-maintained facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family activities like fishing and swimming. Some concerns include check-in processes and the absence of water hookups at most sites, but overall, it remains a favored destination for campers.

We had a wonderful time in the campground. We love it and have been going for 25 plus years. All was going good until a Vista (the management team for Twin Knobs) employee was very mean to my sister in law. She was driving around the beach at closing time very aggressively screamed stop the car. She did not know who he was. Their was no uniform to identify him, no company truck nor did he identify himself as a park employee. He very aggressively screamed at her multiple times then hit the back of her car with his hand. Her brother and husband talked to him, he never apologized for scaring her! She called 9-1-1 to report it, they sent a game warden to get a report, however never spoke to her about the issue, I guess because he was an employee. We have 2 more reservations there coming up and is a little scared to go, we do not feel safe staying there when we aren’t even protected by the employees. The management did not even try to help us or apologize. The end of our trip was very disappointing. Like I’ve said we’ve stayed at twin knobs over 100 times!

Camp sight was excellent. New paved roads were great! All personnel we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. An area for improvement would be shower availability and cleanliness. We were in “H” and several days we only had one shower area available. And, most of the time it was not very clean. We realize this is a challenge, so having two available at all times would help.

campground is great. The generator hours in my loop were a little to restrictive. Big issue is that the lake shore trail is not being maintained in F loop. Poison ivy is rampant. Its disappointing that this beautiful trail is being allowed to fall into disrepair. Its virtually unusable...Sad...

Great camping experience. Most sites have abundant vegetation that provides privacy from neighbors. Fresh pavement so easy to get around. Many sites have steep approaches but are flat once you back in. About half the sites have electricity, the rest are primitive. RVers have to fill water tank prior to setting up on site. Hiking, fishing, swimming & boating are the main activities, other than enjoying camping. Facilities were old but clean. One quibble: shower temperature cannot be controlled and both loops we tried were too hot for July.

Despite the rain storms we had during our stay my family had an excellent time and the Lake wasn't as busy as it normally is during 4th of July Weekend.

Nice campgrounds spaced out and with plenty of privacy due to heavy tree/wood coverage.

It was our first visit to the campground. Loved this campground. Sites were large and wooded. Trail to the lake was well cut!!
Although no water on site, water was available throughout the loop. Our group will definitively be back!! Staff goes beyond to clean each site!, and it was evident. Each site was immaculate.
