About Twin Knobs Campground

Nestled on the shores of Cave Run Lake, this camp is part of the larger Twin Knobs Recreation Area. There are more than 200 sites spread out over 10 loops under a dense forest of mixed conifer and deciduous trees. The recreation area includes two reservable group picnic areas. Group camping is also available.

Just what I wanted! Peaceful serenity! Our site was surrounded by trees which made for a somewhat private escape from the hustle and bustle of life. It made me feel like our little camper was a cabin in the woods. But just near-by, was a tasty restaurant we enjoyed when we decided not to cook after an afternoon of exploring.

This is a very beautiful park with spacious sites and clean bathhouses. The hike to the top of Twin Knob is worth it, the trails alongside the lake were not maintained and rough. The beach was not open yet so I don't know it's conditions and I never saw a playground for kids.
