What Guests Are Saying
Twin Knobs Campground offers a beautiful, wooded setting with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the easy access to the lake, well-maintained facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family activities like fishing and swimming. Some concerns include check-in processes and the absence of water hookups at most sites, but overall, it remains a favored destination for campers.

Camping was okay but we had also rented the west group area for Sunday and the amphitheater for a wedding and paid a lot of money for the use. First when we went to the area it was not ready and the workers were unaware that there was a group coming. Not expectable since it was reserved back in may!!! Then when the wedding was fixing to start it was delayed for over 45 minutes because there was no electric!!! Therefore it being a warm day the cake melted!!! When we asked for help we were told we had to wait for an electrician but we went and got extension cords because we could not wait!! The area should of been prepped and checked long before we arrived!! So while we had a nice time camping over the weekend the wedding was stressful for the bride and groom since they paid for electric use!!!!

Since September of this year it had been about 20 years since I’d been to twin knobs and it’s beauty has only matured by 20 yrs. The camp sites we had (H6,11 and 12) were perfect and since ours (H12) was the common area for cooking, gathering, locking ourselves out of our Motorhome (really happened, 1st night!), it was plenty big enough for all of us, and we could barely see our neighbors bc of the mature trees. The staff was great! The shower houses were very clean. The sites were clean. I/we can’t wait to go back, and it’ll be much sooner than 20 yrs! And we already bought the Hide-A-Key!

Wonderful camping experience; spacious, and private sites located within short hike to Cave Run Lake. Also numerous options for shopping, dining and entertainment. Visited the Venue in Morehead, college town, and enjoyed the atmosphere!! Definitely will return soon!

Very nice campground. Campsites are separated and not too close. Restrooms are very clean. Hiking trails are well kept. Staff are very nice people. I strongly recommend Twin Knobs Campground.

This campground is very well maintained. The staff works hard to keep it clean to the extent that we saw a staff member with a leaf blower blowing leaves and debris away from recently vacated sites so that it is ready for the next guest. The bathrooms were clean as well. Upon making a reservation about 3 weeks out, we noticed there were reviews about the site we had reserved and it wasn't favorable in that reportedly it was very steep and nearly impossible to back into. We have a 30 ft trailer and we were more than concerned. My husband called the campground and spoke with office staff who were very kind and helpful and luckily they were able to put us into another site. We will definitely be making this campground one of our go to's!

Nice campground. Clean bathrooms. Shaded sites, not too close together. Not many people midweek. Perfect for me.
