About Twin Knobs Campground

Nestled on the shores of Cave Run Lake, this camp is part of the larger Twin Knobs Recreation Area. There are more than 200 sites spread out over 10 loops under a dense forest of mixed conifer and deciduous trees. The recreation area includes two reservable group picnic areas. Group camping is also available.

Awesome camp ground, private, scenic. We've stayed at F & G loops and both are awesome. Campground boat ramp with accompanying courtesy dock is a real selling point. Friendly camp hosts. Plenty of shade. We'll be back for sure!

Wonderful campground. The camp site was wooded and private. Bath house was clean and showers worked well. We rented a pontoon boat at local marina and enjoyed getting out on the lake. Nice hiking trails. Bring what you need as stores are not close.

The scenery was gorgeous and the hiking trails was excellent. The campground staff was polite and professional and the campgrounds was maintained extremely well. The only issue I found was that if you bring a boat, you have to load and unload each day unless you rent a slip from the marina, the dock at the Twin Knobs campground is only large enough to accommodate one to pontoon boats or 3 bass type boats.

This was our first time camping here and we Love the campground. It Was so peaceful. We stayed in site J05. Site was big and spacious. Lots of shade. Bathhouse in very close proximity and was kept very clean. Our site did not have water but there was a water spigot right across from our camp as well as others placed around the loop. For boaters jloop is great because your right next to the ramp.
