What Guests Are Saying
Twin Knobs Campground offers a beautiful, wooded setting with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the easy access to the lake, well-maintained facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family activities like fishing and swimming. Some concerns include check-in processes and the absence of water hookups at most sites, but overall, it remains a favored destination for campers.

The campground was clean and other campers were friendly.
People were using the fields and basketball courts for activity. We used the boat ramp.

Great campground. Cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen in any campground. Great if you have kids.

Beautiful site, good amount of space and distance from others. Path to the lake was manageable. Had a great stay!

Staff at the check in booth were not polite in the slightest and the man made rude comments about a person that came with us to camp. The campsite looked nothing like what the picture online at booking looked like- trees had been cut down or removed so there was no shade whatsoever, as opposed to what was pictured at booking which was very shaded. Also had another rude encounter with staff at the place where you check in when returning from buying firewood elsewhere (where it was reasonably priced unlike at the campground), and as I was literally slowed down to a crawl going less than 5 mph to go over the speed bump beside their little guard shack, the woman shouted into my open window to slow down.... while going under 5 mph and barely moving. It was very odd considering she was able to walk out of the shack and to my window to shout this because of how slow I was going. This was the first bad experience we have had at this campground where we have been coming for years. Was extremely unimpressed with our stay this time around.

I want to start off by saying I have been camping here for 40+ years and am very disappointed in how this place is being ran. First off the cost. It is $56 a night for a single with electric. It used to be $20 to $25. There is a lack of camp host when needed, I saw maybe 3 or 4 working the whole campground. That explains why the bathrooms are not consistently cleaned and why Vista has purchased several new side by sides to ride. By the way, hearing a side by side early in the morning is not ideal when trying to relax and sleep. During the stay I saw 2 different ice cream trucks driving through the loops with music blaring selling ice cream. Don't get me wrong, I love ice cream, but I don't agree with them driving through selling it when it is supposed to be a quiet campground. The area has gone downhill ever since Vista started running the place. They no longer sell season passes to use the boat ramp so it sits the unused most of the time. I live close to the area and have always used that ramp to contribute to the campground. I am done with this campground until Vista is no longer running it.
