About Twin Knobs Campground

Nestled on the shores of Cave Run Lake, this camp is part of the larger Twin Knobs Recreation Area. There are more than 200 sites spread out over 10 loops under a dense forest of mixed conifer and deciduous trees. The recreation area includes two reservable group picnic areas. Group camping is also available.

Spent 12 days with family camping on a double site in A loop. Friendly staff, clean bathhouses and clean environment. Only complaint was the firewood sold at the gate too expensive and a lot of pine. Which makes it not good to cook with. Previous years there was another supplier and wood was wonderful. We come yearly and will return next year.

All the staff were incredibly nice. Bathrooms were very clean on arrival and stayed clean the whole time there. The beach is an absolute must see for a day full of family fun!
