Twin Knobs Campground offers a beautiful, wooded setting with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the easy access to the lake, well-maintained facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family activities like fishing and swimming. Some concerns include check-in processes and the absence of water hookups at most sites, but overall, it remains a favored destination for campers.

Big park, lots of trails and downed wood, well wooded and large lots

Sites were kept up and clean as well as the bathhouse. For those looking to stay here, a cautionary note: the sites on the lower part of D loop are near the sewage treatment facility. While it wasn't smelly, it was rather loud.
To management: Please install a sound barrier around the sewage treatment facility to deaden the noise.

I stayed in the H loop and I must say it was beautiful. The sites are large giving you plenty room and no crowed feeling. The bath house was very clean and the individual rooms gives you privacy. The lack of water and electricity at every site does make it challenging when most campgrounds have this. The hiking trail to the top of Twin Knobs is well worth the trek. The hiking trail next to the lake is not as maintained as the other. Bring things for kids to play with because they don't have playgrounds in any of the loops, the beach was closed so I don't know what's there.

Great site but the sewer drain was full and running over as we tried to empty and flush our tanks before departure. You can imagine the mess. We contacted the campground the following morning to let them know and we’re told the holding tanks do get full when there’s been a lot of rain and they were working to correct the problem. We’ve stayed at this site, B17, or the neighboring site, B16, several times and this is the first problem we’ve ran into. The site is very large and private. We just hope they get their sewer problems taken care of.

The camp sites are great. Plenty of room to setup. the area of woods between our site and the next was exceptional. The multi-loop lay out keeps traffic to a minimum. The restrooms where modern and clean, but unheated.
Wonderful area, even if you don't want to us the lake. Be prepared for electric only camping.
