About Twin Knobs Campground

Nestled on the shores of Cave Run Lake, this camp is part of the larger Twin Knobs Recreation Area. There are more than 200 sites spread out over 10 loops under a dense forest of mixed conifer and deciduous trees. The recreation area includes two reservable group picnic areas. Group camping is also available.

Place is clean, the beach is nice, the sites are a great size and very private. Bathroom and showers were the nicest I've seen in a national forest campground, better than a lot of private campgrounds. I did not realize at booking that although there is electric, there's no water on the site itself, which is a bit unusual. However, there is potable water at the dump station up front and spickets spaced evenly around each loop of sites, so clean water was never far away. I would gladly stay here again.

One of the cleanest campgrounds I've been to. The sites were very large, where you didn't feel as if you were right on top of other campers. Love the camping pads, made it great for tents.

We had an excellent experience at Twin Knobs. There is so much to do within the camp grounds. Our camp site was great and we look forward to staying again. Bath houses were very clean and the host was friendly.
