Many visitors appreciate the easy access to the lake, well-maintained facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family activities like fishing and swimming. We recently spent a few nights at Twin Knobs on Cave Run Lake, and it deserves every bit of praise it gets. The most striking feature is the generous spacing between sites, which is genuinely exceptional by campground standards. Rather than being packed shoulder to shoulder with neighbors, you have real room to settle in and enjoy your own space.
The campground is set within a beautiful stretch of hardwood forest, and the trees provide a degree of privacy between sites that few campgrounds can match. Access to the lake is convenient, so it is easy to spend the day on the water and return to a quiet, shaded campsite in the evening.
The staff were uniformly gracious and helpful, and our camp host, Sandy, was particularly warm and welcoming. Equally impressive was the condition of the facilities. The bathhouses were immaculate and plainly maintained with great care, which is far from a given at most public campgrounds. Twin Knobs is clearly run by people who take pride in it, and we look forward to returning.

Very nice, secluded camp ground. Good distance between campsites. Lots of shade, nice and quiet, bath house and bathrooms clean. Campsites are surprisingly level even though the surrounding landscape is hilly. Not having water on site was not an issue. Several places one can get potable water. We camped with 3 other couples who all had their own sites. We’re all in agreement we will make several return trips. The only question we have is why golf carts are not allowed? This is a large campground and street legal golf carts would certainly be handy to get out and enjoy the surroundings.

We have been camping at Twin Knobbs for years. Primarially in Loop A. Up until this year loop A have been exceptionally nice, clean and welcoming with Tom and Stacy as the Loopp A Host. However this year Tom and Stacy were moved to loop E. Loop A has not had any host at all this year and the bathrooms are not as clean like they were with Tom and Stacy and it is not as welcoming. Plesae bring back Tom and Stacy to loop A. They are the best camp host Twin Knobbs has had in years.
