About Baileys Point

Bailey's Point campground is the largest of the Army Corps of Engineers' campgrounds on Barren River Lake. This campground offers several waterfront campsites with scenic views of the lake. Though the campground is one of the largest, you won't know it. There is room to roam, five camping loops with diverse scenery, and private coves for swimming or mooring your boat. Beautiful campground! Great for folks like me that love birding. We had a bluebird hanging out on our water hookup, a Northern Flicker digging around in the dirt right outside of our window, and could hear a Pileated in our loop all day every day! We took our daughter who is in a wheelchair and the walks around the looks were amazing for her! Highly recommend this campground!

Front gate staff were very friendly and helpful. The D shower house, the section we stayed at, was truly an ADA Accessable facility! Other campgrounds we've stayed at claim ADA but fall far short. We're from Missouri and it was our first stay at this campground. Beautiful views of the lake and very clean sites. We are planning a return visit soon.

This is one of our favorite places to camp! The lakefront spots are the best. I don't understand why they don't open the other loop when every weekend is sold out in the summer. :)

Great park location. Multiple site loops, boat ramp, and camp store in B Loop. Shower and bathrooms well maintained. Close to state park and marina, with boat rentals.

The hosts were extremely nice and attentive. The site was nice and long but was a little challenging to get into due to the deep ravine on the far side of the road. But aside from that it was a great experience.

Policies & Rules

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
