The booth attendants are very hard to get along with. We live in the area and there are 8 couples of us who camp there a lot. We have grandchildren who “camp” with us, but do not always stay the night due to part time work schedules. They come back and forth, and even though I register 6 people and 2 vehicles, I or they have to pay $5 each day because they will not give us our second pass. When I tried to explain and question why after paying and extra $10 in one day, he threatened to call the park Ranger on us. This has happened to all of us, multiple times each trip. We camp at Baileys Point about five or six times each year. Our $25 camp site costs an average of $35/ day. We are all older couples who cause absolutely no trouble for anyone. Mike and Bunny are the rudest attendants at any place we have ever camped. However, we are all considering going elsewhere because it is ridiculous. On one occasion this trip, we went back home to get our pontoon and jet ski. We were in one truck and our daughter and grandkids were in another one of “our” trucks with the jet ski. We only had one pass, and they still made us pay $5 and would not give us our second pass for our other vehicle. If we register 2 vehicles and 6 people, we should get both passes when we check in…. No questions asked. This happens to all of us multiple times each trip. One couple camped at Defeated Creek and asked if they would have to pay for the kids when they arrived… they laughed and said you all must camp at Baileys Point in Ky, we’ve heard about those attendants. It doesn’t happen at Tailwater, State Park nor the Narrows all within 2-6 miles of each other. They really hurt the reputation of the campground. We’ve never broken any rules or cause any disturbance…. Most of us are retired people. It is ridiculous how they treat people and needs to be addressed. Campers should be given both passes when they check in and treated like adults, not criminals.
