Baileys Point offers beautiful lake views and clean facilities, with many campers praising the friendly atmosphere and attentive hosts. While some areas, particularly the grass and bathrooms, need better maintenance, many still find the campground to be a favorite for its peacefulness and scenic beauty. Despite some concerns about upkeep and overcrowding, the overall experience remains positive for returning visitors.

I have been camping at Bailey's Point for many years and always find it peaceful and relaxing. The husband likes the convenience of the golf course at the Barren River State Park. As we are getting older, mid week bookings are especially quite. Looking forward to another trip before season ends.

Bailey's Point is my favorite local campground. Nive views of the lake and close enough to Scottsville or Glascow for a grocery run or a meal out. Dollar General in close by as well as a liquor store and a couple of small bars/restaurants. But COE needs to do some maintenance and groundskeeping work. Areas around the campsites are clear but the shoreline and other areas are overgrown and need to be cut. Bathhouses are pretty clean but need updating and maintenance; shower drains are very slow in A loop bathhouse, no hot water in B loop, etc.

Trash and debris in our site. We had to be careful where we walked and mindful of our pet.

We have been camping at Bailys for 25 years. This has been the worst year as far as how they have kept the campsites and bath houses looking. We were there a week and the men's restroom was never cleaned. Always out of toilet paper until I stopped a worker and they brought 3 or 4 rolls in. Grass was never cut around the campsites. So if you got off your campsite to walk to lake you were fighting thru waist high weeds.

Beautiful lake but several of the roads in campground were very narrow and steep.

The park itself was find but the lack of attention was very evident. We arrived on a Tuesday and no one was working the both until Thursday afternoon at 4:00 in order for us to get a car pass. The bath house was a complete disgrace untouched until Friday. At that point there were literally thousands of bugs in the sinks. Toilets were so filthy they were unusable. They came in and cleaned them for the weekend but luckily we had brought our tote so we could shower in the camper. We have been doing this for over 20 years and have camped from Maine to Florida and every where in between, I would rate these bath houses as the worst we have seen. Finally on Sunday morning when leaving the right dump station was coned off so we had to circle around the campground like we were coming in to get to the other side. It is a very nice park that is in desperate need of some help.
