Love Baileys point!
(Only down side this visit: NEVER saw anyone clean the restrooms. They have always been kept so clean. It was very sad)

Baileys Point offers beautiful lake views and clean facilities, with many campers praising the friendly atmosphere and attentive hosts. While some areas, particularly the grass and bathrooms, need better maintenance, many still find the campground to be a favorite for its peacefulness and scenic beauty. Despite some concerns about upkeep and overcrowding, the overall experience remains positive for returning visitors.

The camping spot was large and shady. Easy to access. The campground deserves a 5, but it said to rate our stay. The weather was hot and humid, most of the sites hadn’t been mowed recently, thus causing a plethora of bugs. The lake had flooded most of the docks and a lot of campsites during the late winter and all spring. In their defense, they had a huge job just cleaning up enough to get campers and boats back to the lake. I would definitely stay again because we love the lake! Affordable, close to whatever you need, lots of playgrounds for the kids. Our site had a shared water source, but no one was in the other campsite. No sewage hookup, but dump stations are conveniently placed around the campground, and there are quite a few restrooms and shower houses. 4.5 out of 5 for our stay

This is my favorite place. Disappointed this year about all the trees they removed up by C Bathouse. Now all the nature paths are blocked by the dead cut down trees. Grass was really long, and the bathhouse wasn't cleaned on a regular basis. Seems like its gone down hill in the last few years. Volunteers were really nice.

What happened to this campground?
Stayed a week in D loop. No one ever cleaned the wash house. Mens restroom had no toilet paper. No soap dispensers. Dryers are from the 70's and do nothing to dry your hands. Grass finally got cut as we were leaving. Camp attendees are on short schedules.

Baileys Point is an absolutely gorgeous campground. It saddens me to see it fall into such disrepair. We go there often because our in-laws have a boat stored there. The campsites store has been closed for the past three years. More often than not we have issues with our electric. Imagine coming in from a long day at the lake only to find your power is off. The campsites are becoming overgrown with weeds. Grass is only mowed every 2-3 weeks. Such a shame because it truly is a gem. I can only hope that it will be given the attention it needs and deserves.
