i have stayed at a few coe campgrounds and other campgrounds but this is by far the cleanest and most friendly one that i have been to. the beach was also great. The only disappointment was my booklet said there was laundry so i bypassed some laundry facilities till i arrived and they no longer offer that but i understand the lack of help makes it hard to keep up with all the maintenance. way better to close some things down than offer it but have it not clean, i have seen that, not good

Attendants are very good and reasonable. They use common sense to keep the park safe and orderly. However, CUT THE GRASS!! This park used to be the crown jewel for camping at Barren River Lake. Now it is overgrown and in decline. Visitors must walk through weeds to get to the shore line. Exposing themselves to ticks and snakes. The weeds also hold water which makes them slick and increases the risk of falls. The more I reflect on the condition of the park the upset I become. This park must be well maintained. It is difficult to recommend at stay in the withering condition of what once was the best place to camp on the lake.
The woman that cleans the restrooms and showers is exceptional!!! These facilities are clean and safe. They are clearly showing their age but her efforts at maintaining cleanliness are outstanding!!! She is an absolute asset to the park and is operation.
Cut the grass, clean up the weeds and I can give an unequivocal 5 stars!

We love Baileys! Our recommendations are to have workers:
-pick up trash (water bottles, etc.) from shoreline because it is harmful to marine life
-blow leaves and debris off the campsites
-clean out fire pits that are full of ashes
-weed whack tall weeds between mowed area and shoreline to make it more accessible

It’s been 7 years since we’ve camped at Baileys Point. Shocked at how much this campground has such a negative appearance now. Half of the property never mowed. Weeds knee high. Cross ties rotted and falling apart. Trash along entire shore line. Other Corps of engineers campgrounds are very well maintained. WHY NOT THIS ONE. Shame to the management.

Overall, this is a great site. The view from this site is amazing and the camp hosts are some of the nicest we have encountered. There is a short, easy walk down to the water. My only problems were that it is really close to the surrounding sites and quite close to the main road, so if you have an "adventurous" dog it might be an issue. Also the road coming into the site is pretty narrow with trees close to the road, so larger rigs need to be caution when driving in. We had a 30 foot travel trailer and made it fine...just take your time!

Needs a lot of maintenance as far as landscape Timbers are rotten and needs replaced around camp sites. Grass wasn’t cut in June or July in area C in front of campsites going to lake.Itvwas very high. All the workers were very nice and friendly.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
