About Baileys Point

Bailey's Point campground is the largest of the Army Corps of Engineers' campgrounds on Barren River Lake. This campground offers several waterfront campsites with scenic views of the lake. Though the campground is one of the largest, you won't know it. There is room to roam, five camping loops with diverse scenery, and private coves for swimming or mooring your boat. Very nice place to camp. Everyone we meet was awesome. Very nice camp host and the little side store worker was so awesome, we forgot coffee and she made us a pot and brought it to us. Will definitely be going back.

Great views, great spaces.. I’ve read that they’re close together but I have stayed at camp grounds where you are right on top of each other. I didn’t feel that way at all here. Quiet and an overall great spot to stay!

We have been going to Bailey’s Point for over 30 years. We love it! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The bath houses are very well taken care of. There is a store in Loop B and washer and dryers in Loop A and C. The people now running the store are doing a wonderful job and they are very reasonable on the prices. We have stayed at several other campsites but must say that Bailey’s Point at Barren River Lake is by far our favorite.

The campground is kept very clean, including the bathrooms. If you're tent sleeping, you may wanna bring something to put under the tent, it's gravel and will hurt if you don't. Other campers very friendly and neighborly. Will definitely be going back!

Policies & Rules

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
