Tailwater is a peaceful campground with friendly hosts and a beautiful setting by the Barren River, making it a favorite among many campers. While some visitors noted issues with maintenance, such as restroom cleanliness and the need for infrastructure improvements, they appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and enjoyed activities like fishing. Overall, many families cherish their experiences there and plan to return, highlighting the campground's charm despite areas needing attention.

The spot was nice and other campers were very friendly but the staff was very disrespectful towards my guests and told them they didn’t care if they went home or come in because there was a situation at the moment. I understand things happen but if you are in charge, be in charge and control the situation and not let it control you. Poor professionalism and now an example of how people are going to be treated in the event of another situation.

Had a wonderful time, just wish it was free like all the years past, I don’t need or want to pay for water
