Tailwater is a peaceful campground with friendly hosts and a beautiful setting by the Barren River, making it a favorite among many campers. While some visitors noted issues with maintenance, such as restroom cleanliness and the need for infrastructure improvements, they appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and enjoyed activities like fishing. Liked the campground ,but there were a lot to dislike as well . Way to many cars driving to fast it is only 15 mph . Trash all over river bank most left by fisherman. Not 1 time in 14 days we see a Conservation officer there . Was great during week ,but like most things now the weekenders will destroy it for the rest of us.
