The Canopy Crew

My husband has gone on more trips to the gorge than me, but every trip is full of great memories! We’ve hiked the Indian Staircase (which was more difficult for me) but the view was awesome! We’ve also done some other random hikes and trails over the years. We recently brought our puppy here for an overnight camping trip and had an unfortunate run in with some copperhead snakes, which we were told was common since it was during their hatching season. But still a great place for camping, day hiking, back packing, etc!

First, I'm a mtb'er. I love to ride my bike. However, hiking the RRG is a whole different kind of peace. Most of it is unmodified by man and amazingly beautiful. There's easy tourist trails and my favorites that won't be on the official map. Views from the tops are breathtaking. Gods work really shows all around this place, from the valley to the peaks.

Not too far for an amazing weekend adventure! Only a 4 hour drive from Bloomington and well worth it every time we make the trip down there! Miguel’s pizza is my grandson’s favorite pizza place “ever”😋 The cabins are very nice although WiFi is spotty at times. Best to use their gps coordinates for accurate location. We already are making plans to go again in the Fall! Next time I’d like to try the skylift and underground boat ride😄

Fantastic if you’ve never been there, you must go. The scenery is absolutely out of this world.
