This is our favorite campground in the area. The sites are nicely spaced and the shower house is a major perk.

Beautiful campground in the woods, easy access to trails. Very quiet. Nice sites with tent pads, picnic tables, and fire pits. Firewood and ice available at camp host. Great place to stay in the Gorge.

We only stayed for two nights to tent camp, but we almost felt pampered with the access we had to running, potable water and then a shower house right next to our campsite. It was very convenient and nice to have these amenities right there in the Koomer Ridge Loop. Our spot was well marked and we reserved ahead of time to ensure we had a place to stay (highly recommended). We had an excellent double-pad, and several trees to also set up hammocks, with access to Silvermine Arch trail and kindling for our campfire. Access to firewood and ice was right there at the entrance to the campground and as long as the front porch light was on we were able to purchase these items on site. Excellent location to the Geological Area and everything felt secure and safe while we were there. Would highly recommend, especially if you have little ones; very family oriented and with the paved road kids even have access to bring their bikes and scooters. We will be back!

Well maintained grounds and in a beautiful spot! Stayed at site 48 and would probably choose a different one in the future that is further from the hiking trail, but it had everything I needed for my trip (:

Our family had a wonderful time at Koomer ridge. The site was level and the campground had great signage. The parkway is a bit close so you can hear the traffic at all times. We would stay here again.

I paid the "peak season" rate yet the bathrooms were not open. The bathrooms should be open if we are being charged the rate for Peak Season.
Also, please enforce the campground rules. There were sites with more than 3 tents set up, people parked on the grass, and people left food and coolers out when they were not at their campsite.
