The camp hosts really take care of the campgrounds and work out any issues you might have with your selected site. Excellent attention to detail. Bath house was clean! Good job!

Koomer Ridge Campground is in a great location with access to many trails. The sites are clean and maintained and level. Bathroom and shower facilities available. Well shaded. The amphitheater is in need of repair. No electricity, water is available. Sites are well spaced out. Nice campsite at the end of the road so traffic less. Bathroom and water close by. Sun/Mon nite stay so campsite was not really busy. Cicadas were very loud in the afternoon but hey, that's OK. Excellent access to the local area - hikes, fishing, etc and not so far to civilization if you needed some last minute items. Lots of birds. Having a shower building available (even with only cool water) was a nice surprise. Thank you to the USFS staff responsible.

Nice quiet primitive campground with well maintained sites, the bath house was clean and having a trailhead right from the campground was great. Site 29 was spacious enough for my 26ft camper and a tent and hammocks

The campsite site was beautiful and well maintained. The bathhouse was exceptionally clean throughout the entire day! The only downside of my trip was the lack of dry firewood available due to the rain storms, of course not the fault of the campgrounds.

Great spot. Best for tents as many sites were not at street level. Big storm in the area and many trees down. The rangers were out in full force cleaning it up first thing in the morning

Initially, our site was steep. We were able to trade for a More Level site which was conducive to having a camper trailer.
The campground hosts worked well with us.
We knew ahead of time that the restroom was being renovated, but pit toilets we're available.

The campground is very nice, with a mix of flat easy to use camper sites, and some more secluded sites as well. Some of which require a short (and sometimes a bit steep) climb to access. The drawback is it's close proximity to the Combs Parkway. There is the constant sound of traffic. It has no electricity, but a modern bath house. Unfortunately here we are at Memorial Day weekend and it's still not open, due to a contractor dragging his feet on the re-tile.
