What Guests Are Saying
Waitsboro Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting with great views of Lake Cumberland, making it a lovely getaway for couples and families. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and features friendly staff who enhance the experience. However, some challenges include tight maneuvering for larger trailers and an inconveniently located dump station, which can be frustrating for newcomers. Overall, many campers enjoyed their stay and expressed a desire to return.

great views and flat sites - very tight for pulling trailers. Dump site is almost impossible to access

One of my favorite COE parks. It sets high up on the side of a hill looking down over Lake Cumberland. Most of the sites have excellent views of the lake, and it's small enough that it stays relatively quiet. The only downside is that the dump station sets on a fairly steep hill. If dumping there, it's better to use a portable tank at your site and tow it up. Campground is within a mile of Burnside and Somerset.

The signage for the facility was not clear. If you google the address of the facility it will bring you to a very nice but still a neighborhood. You would have to pass the neighborhood and continue down the road. The next sign you will see will tell you the road ends at water! It does not! When you arrive the camp host just points at your parking ticket and provides no further instructions. The dump station only allows you to go up dumping from the right side of your camper. If your back tank is on the left you will need a longer hose. The campground itself is nice but for someone who’s never been it was a bit frustrating.

Nice campground although a bit tight on some of the spots. Mine was 15 and is a backin site which is uphill and a turn going up. I can see where some would have a problem. Also the dump station is very inconvenient to use. You have to go out to the entrance and make a U-turn to make the steep uphill pull to the dump. When you get there your rig is pointing downhill to dump. Without those issues I would have given a 5.

BEAUTIFUL campground! A little difficult to maneuver because its tight quarters, but the COE has done a great job with the sites. Ours was right on the water and was large and very well maintained. The dump station is up by the restrooms so we had to go out the gate and back in to get to it ...not a big deal, though. Totally would stay there again.

Was not what we expected. Sites were really small and very narrow roads inside the campground. Dump station was nearly inaccessible once inside the campground, without having to go all the way back out, dump, go all the way back to the end of the campground and back again due to not having the necessary room to turn around or back into the campsite except from one direction.
