We really enjoyed our brief stay here (2 nights). The campsites are huge, level, and not on top of each other. Some decent hiking trails, and other recreation activities close by (fishing, golfing). Town of Minden only 5 miles away and has groceries, restaurants, hardware etc. Great spot to camp!!

Very nice sites with plenty of room between each other. The camp host came around to introduce himself and tell us if we needed anything he was in Site #(I won't post the number here). He was very nice.

Living less than an hour from Beaver Dam Campground, it's been our family's 'go-to' tent/RV destination, just far enough away from the city, since shortly after it opened in the 1960's. (I was 6 years old.. it's an awesome place for kids to play and explore!)
After being nearly destroyed by a tornado in the early 90s, it was rebuilt to include water/electric services, and bath/shower houses. Reforestation efforts helped bring back the native flora that had been lost to the storm. Now, wonderfully wooded with Kisatchie pines and bald cypress, the campsites are situated on the shores of Caney Lake. Sites are level, spacious and well-maintained. The lake fishes fine, and swims pretty good too! We (still) love it! -CW
