Crooked Creek Recreation Park offers a vibrant atmosphere, especially for campers who enjoy a lively environment with music and activities. Many appreciate the shaded sites and the friendly staff, along with recent upgrades and events. However, some guests noted issues with noise from golf carts, bathroom accessibility, and road conditions leading to the park.

One and done for us but if you are a camper that likes a “golf cart campground” it’s probably for you. We prefer a campground where we can sit outside and not be disturbed by golf carts making constant loops playing their music so loud you have to stop talking till they pass so you can hear each other. And it’s not just kids, more adults were apparently reliving their childhoods making loops with music blaring. They need a trail/course they can make loops away from campers that don’t care to hear their loud music if no one is going to enforce the “no loud or obscene music” rule.

Hubby prefers bathhouse shower over the camper if available but he never found a shower, the men’s room was padlocked nearest to our site. Better bathrooms are near the beach area, those get locked after the weekend people leave apparently.

The road coming to the park is horrible, the road is a little better to come down crooked creek parkway closer to Turkey Creek. The actual campground road is fantastic just getting to it nearly shook us to death.

We came for the Saturday music show, can’t beat Clifton Brown and the Rusty Bucket Band. A “no vaping” rule for the pavilion would have been nice, people were blowing that smoke everywhere all night and there was a haze that stayed under the pavilion.

Campground had lots of trees/shade and sites are a decent size. Owner and staff were nice.

We LOVE crooked creek. We just recently went on our annual family camping trip there and had so much fun. There's a loading dock for you to bring your boats or jetskis. There's a few playgrounds, but some of them have broken equipment. The bathrooms aren't the cleanest, but HEY, THEY HAVE WORKING BATHROOMS! The beach is a nice size, and I noticed they've been keeping it very well taken care of and being cleaned daily. Highly recommend this place!

Decent place, but be warned no dogs over 30lbs. Didn’t use or go to any facilities on site, was almost full with campers and the lake was nice… the lady at the gate was kind enough to let me in with my dog due to travel time!
