Our third time driving up to Maine with our RV but our first time staying at this campground. We were very happy with our stay here!
Things to know:
* The water view campsites are pretty far from the water and there is no access to the water from the property. They are not full hookups though. It seems that most of the full hookups are near the entrance and they are less wooded/spacious than the other sites.
* The pool, laundry, playground are all in the far area near the water view sites. Nice location but far from the entrance (about 1/2 mi walk) and the wifi (no signal in the area when we stayed)
*As we were departing we discovered a path from the campground to the back of Udder Heaven (amazing local ice cream) and Mainely Meat (BBQ). I wish we’d realized there was a path before then. Ha.
*You can see some beautiful sunsets from this campground.
Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back. You’re about 5 mi to downtown Bar Harbor. The Lobster Pound across the street was terrific (on par with our favorite spot, Beal’s Lobster Pound).
Oh, and if there are any runners reading this, I was able to run on the main road (Bar Harbor Rd) without a problem. Nice wide shoulders, though hilly.
