What Guests Are Saying

Thomas Point Beach Campground boasts a beautiful property but currently faces challenges due to ongoing construction and management changes. While some guests appreciated the friendly staff and the potential for future improvements, many criticized the subpar facilities, lack of privacy, and high rates considering the conditions. Overall, there is hope that with time and renovations, the campground will thrive, but it may be best to wait a couple of years before visiting.

So…. Modern America owns the campground now. We pull up and the campground looks COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from pictures you see online as they are under construction. They took all the trees out (said they will be putting more in) and are fixing/adding more campsites. They are very close together and right now they offer no privacy at all it’s just wide open. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating but it was just not what my wife and I were excepting, and after spending an expensive rate to stay there for 3 nights and pull up to that was just surprising. There was nothing online AT ALL when we reserved. Wish I had pictures but I didn’t think to snap a few.

Booked a week vacation six months in advance based on information available at the time. Was surprised to learn new ownership and significant construction was underway, all new RV utilities. Pool is not open for the season, playground basically non-existent (everything is disfunctional), and very challenging location for a 2yr old. For 80 bucks a night you can find better options in the area. I'm sure in 2-3 years the place will thrive, but at present, it has a long ways to go.

We stayed 6 nights in July 2026 and were made aware of construction prior to our visit, they had to move our original site choice and assured us it was better. It was not!
Very narrow "pad" width surrounded by uneven loose sand so we couldn't put a rug and chairs under our awning! New grass going in on very few sites so those looked good!
Pool was still being worked on, but open!
We should have asked to move our site, lesson learned.
Id give it a couple years before going back.
It needs a lot of work!

New owners are absolutely unsupportive of the local Brunswick community and its people. Please if you coming out of state DONT stay here. They have kicked the fishermen out which make a living on those mudflats, current managers have threatened woman and children in various occasions and changed public access that has been the same for 50 years. The past owners would be extremely disappointed knowing a staple of the Brunswick community is turning into an all exclusive club for out of staters just so the company can take your hard earned money. Go to Darmiscotta camp ground or wolf’s neck, run by locals what will treat locals with respect. Much better options.

Probably the worst place we've ever stayed, and we travel all over the country. Such a shame that the actual campground facilities were terrible because it's actually an incredible piece of property.
For $95.00 we got a patch of powdery dirt in a spot that was just created. Bathrooms and showers were under partially closed and under construction.
