Bass Harbor Campground

We stayed in our camper. The site had full hook ups and was large enough for our large 5th wheel. Our site had shade trees, fire ring and was quite. The employees were all very pleasant. The location is about a mile from Acadia hiking and a half mile from Bass Harbor Light house.

Great place to enjoy Acadia NP. Easy to find, close to light house and restaurants. Hosts are very friendly and the price was really good compared to every other campground. Clean bathrooms and showers. A lot of other amenities for the family, but we were there to just see the park. Highly recommend.

This was such a sweet little cozy campground! We spent half of our stay on Mt. Desert Island at this campground. The facilities were all really clean, the campground employees were SO kind and helpful (shout out to Sarah at the front desk who suggested a couple of the best activities we did during our visit, and Mike who helped us trouble shoot our RV!), and it was so conveniently located to explore the southern end of the island. The only thing to note which didn't bother us too much is the sites are on the smaller side and very close together, so it isn't super private. Overall, we loved our stay and we hope to come back and check out either the yurts or tent sites next time!

This will be our 4th year camping at Bass Harbor— is perfect for us, off the beaten path enough where people are not camping on top of us yet just a 20ish min drive into the park! Surrounded by great trails. Our favorite family tradition! Clean bathrooms & showers, very friendly staff.

What a fantastic find on Mount Desert Island. Close to the ocean, several trails, and the lighthouse, all within a reasonable walking distance. Well cared for park, with a real rustic campground vibe. Clean restrooms and showers with hot water a plus! Cabins, RV spots, Yurts and tent sites, plus super dog friendly, what more do you need?
