We had a fantastic and chilly stay at quarry ledge on opening weekend. The staff were helpful and attentive and the restrooms and showers were the nicest quality and cleanest I’ve ever seen and I’ve camped a lot in my life. My only complaint from our stay is that many of the site campfires, including the one we booked, are at pretty terrible locations for more than 2 people to sit around. When I asked staff about this they said we couldn’t move the fire pit but were free to move sites at no charge. (Like I said very helpful) we chose to and enjoyed the fire for the rest of the trip at tent site 26. The campground is close to the park and bar harbor (30ish minutes). Great camping, would highly recommend!

This campground was great. We had one of the spots right on the water which was so beautiful. There was water and portapottys, and then a bathhouse with real bathrooms and showers near the entrance of the campground. It’s also a quick drive to Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. The staff was friendly and overall it was a good experience. I would recommend

I was hesitant at first based on the other reviews but those are old reviews! Look at the newer reviews! A different management company took ownership a few years back and they have done a fantastic job setting up a great campground for all! This campground even has waterfront accessibly and waterfront camp spots! Camp sites were well constructed/managed, bathroom/showers cleaned daily, and a really peaceful location tucked away from the main road. They have a nice dock area to sit and enjoy as well as SUP/kayak rentals.

Only 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and other popular tourist sites on the east side! But also great location to explore the west side of the park. Highly recommended!

Very nice campground! I love the fact that you can get a site with a deck for the tent, so it sits on a flat level surface. The sites also have power and a water spigot for washing dishes and stuff. You can also walk down to the water, or even get a site that's pretty much right on the water. The bathrooms and showers are very nice and clean, although there's only one bathhouse for the whole campground, but we didn't have to wait long to get ourturn for the shower or toilet, they were available most of the time. Staff at the office was very friendly as well. The pool uses a great feature too, the kids really loved that. Its also very close to the Arcadia national park and all the beauty it has to offer. Overall it was a pleasant stay!

Reading reviews on my way up started to make me nervous, stuff about water problems and unclean bathrooms. All I have to say about that, is that those people have never been camping and must prefer 5 star hotels. The bathrooms were the nicest camping bathrooms I have ever been in, super clean, private showers with hot water and fully closed off bathroom stalls as well. Fun activities available at the site and 100s of places to explore near by. The pool was super nice after long days of hiking in the hot sun, and there were maybe 3 bugs in the pool, (I saw a review about that as well, the pool was fine and very clean. There was a skimmer if you needed to clean off the top). Staff were easy to talk to and polite always, the bathrooms are cleaned every single day, and it shows. Water and electricity was available at my site #52, one of the deluxe platform sites. As for other notes about the site itself, it was very large and super close to the bathrooms, the gravel did make it hard to stake anything down, but in the end we tied down what was needed and it was fine. There was some extreme wind, so I would definitely be mindful of what you choose to set up based on the weather conditions. This site made my vacation even more special, and I hope to return one day with my future children. So amazing for the cost, location, and amenities. You can buy ice and fire wood at anytime, even if the office was closed, you could submit a slip with your site number and they would just charge your card on file. Super easy.
