I was told they’d fix the ac but didn’t, never responded when I asked about it. The great in the rv was unbearable. The water is disgusting i pulled 25-30 leeches off my daughter after being in the lake for about ten minutes.

The water is very murky and the ground is very mushy. I swam for 20 minutes, of not less and had to pull 30 leeches off of me then go to the ER to get myself checked out and see if there were more on me or even in me… It was honestly traumatic having my own mother have to search my entire body. We didn’t stay the night, which is good because the AC didn’t work even though we were told it would by the time we got there. The owner’s parent’s are very nice, though.

The best way to describe Mac's is a small family camp. Very clean bathrooms/showers. Cute adequately spaced tent sites. Janice was very friendly and her dogs were very adorable. The price point was super affordable and their email customer service is very helpful. (Even though I don't have kids) Very kid /Pet friendly. Not far from Hannafords or Dollar general if you forgot anything. Just a couple suggestions I would like to see as a guest. 1.Clarification of office hours (As a self conscious person, I don't like knocking on doors of people I don't know well.) 2. An office text line to help with customers questions. 3. A bigger swimming area (Its a kinda small, kid size, but the rest was mucky/unmaintained). 4. The general store (Tho technicolly in Hemlock Campground) had no hours, so it was hard to figure out when they were open or what they had. I definitely would come back to Macs for more camping!

We have been seasonal camper's at Mac's for 4 years now, and we love it! Every weekend when we turn down the road to camp, we say 'Home Sweet Home #2'!
We were on many waiting lists for seasonal sites closer to our home in NH, but nothing ever opened up, and my son was growing up fast! I didn't want him to miss out on one of my favorite past times (And I just don't have the energy to constantly setup and breakdown camps all the time). We feel blessed to have gotten in back during the pandemic. It was just what my son and I needed! A peaceful retreat in nature!
We enjoy kayaking (and boating when the water levels are decent), searching for native reptiles and amphibians, walking with our doggies, and sipping wine with our amazing neighbors. We have some great events, and particularly love the 'Camp around the World' where each site picks a country to represent with food &/or drinks to sample, and maybe even music and decorations! We have made lifelong friends here! I highly recommend it!
