Would never recommend this rv park. The manager and his wife were the most rude people we have encountered during the last two years when we have traveled coast to coast and everywhere in between in our motorhome. The issue was arrival time. During the initial phone call I was asked if we could arrive by 6. As we began our travel to Sullivan we quickly realized it was going to take longer than we originally anticipated. I called and talked to the male manager this time telling him it would be closer to 6:30 which I thought he was okay with. During our drive we encountered a bridge closer which added time to our trip. I called a third time telling them we would do our best to arrive on time. Never once was any mention made that we would be charged an additional $50. We arrived at 6:47 and was immediately told by the male manager that he hoped I had enjoyed my dinner out because it was going to cost me an additional $50! My "dinner" consisted of me flying into the Walmart and grabbing a loaf of bread and some frozen peas so we could eat a sandwich and peas for dinner, and not eating out so we could get to the park as soon as possible. In my opinion these folks running this establishment need some help with customer service and compassion. If I had done my homework and read the reviews prior to making my reservation I would have never stayed here. Apparently, this is an on going issue with the people at Acadia Seashore RV park.

My husband and I have been camping at Acadia Shores RV Campground, in our motorhome, for five times in the last ten years. We enjoy this campground because it seems mostly suited for Senior Citizens (which we are). There is no swimming pool, playground, or arcade, all of which attracts young children. The campground is super clean, the lots are spacious, and the views out onto Flanders Bay, and across the Bay to Cadillac Mountain are priceless. All sites have electric and water hookups. The honey wagon can be scheduled for dumping at a modest price of $15. Although this campground is located right off Route 1, the sites are far enough away from the highway so that noise from traffic is minimal. Watching the tide changes, the shore birds, and the lobster boats coming and going is very relaxing. Besides Acadia National Park, there are numerous other interesting sites to visit. The new managers, Gloria and Michael, are friendly and helpful.

Michael and Gloria were the best hosts ever. It was our first time to Acadia and our first time traveling that far with our RV. Gloria gave us great recommendations and maps. We didn’t miss a thing! We also couldn’t have been happier with the campground itself. Super clean, convenient location, gorgeous scenery, peaceful and quiet.

My husband and I were traveling the east coast when we unfortunately made a reservation at the Acadia Seashore RV Resort. When I spoke to the manager initially I told her that we should arrive between 5-5:30. Due to a road being under construction, we were delayed. I spoke with the manager as well as a second phone call to her husband explaining our situation. When we arrived at 6:47 I was told we would be charged an additional $50 late fee. Never once, in our 3 phone conversations was I made aware of this policy. Not only did they fail to let me know of their policies, they were so rude and mean to me when we arrived. I would NEVER recommend this RV park to anyone. On a side note, the shower drains were plugged with hair and they did not have locks on the shower/bathroom house doors, which made me feel unsafe. Had I read the reviews before making my reservation I would have gone elsewhere. My husband and I have traveled in our RV from coast to coast. We have had wonderful experiences. NEVER, have we been treated so poorly. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue with the staff. I would highly recommend their staff have training in customer service as well as learning compassion, which I guess is not something they have. Do NOT stay here, read reviews.

Great RVpark on RT 1 on the water. Quiet well run park with some sites on the water. Some road noise can be heard from RT1 , but I didnt think it was a problem. Very pretty scenery. Clean bathrooms , plenty of hot water in showers, good WIFI. Our hosts Gloria and Michael Kelly were personable and knowledgeable. Tracys Seafood is right next door and good. Gloria had plenty of suggestions on where to go and eat. One place under the radar we found was Seal Cove Antique Car Museum. This is no small collection , its top level. Cars , motor cycles , bikes , many older than the 30s. A car enthusiast could loose themselves in there for hours. Worth seeking out. Its near Southwest Harbor.
