Woodlands Camping Resort is a peaceful, clean campground with friendly staff and great amenities, including a well-maintained children's park, fishing pond, and clubhouse activities. However, some visitors noted a lack of laundry facilities, limited lighting at night, and issues with site assignments for non-seasonal campers.

We will definitely be back. We stayed here approximately two months (from October to December 2025) while working in Wilmington, DE. Park is quiet, peaceful, and clean. It is convenient to town and nearby historic communities. Our only complaints are not having laundry service on site and not having lights in the park. You have to walk with a flashlight β€” it’s pitch black.

We just stayed at Woodlands for the Labor day weekend and our whole family had a fantastic time. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The children's park is immaculate and the whole park is very well kept. There is a fishing pond and a club house that has a disco and bingo for the adults and wagon hay rides for the kids during the day. There are bags of ice available at the office, the rates are affordable and the money is clearly spent on the the park.

Beautiful campground! Great to walk around! Staff accommodating! Pool big and clean but wished it opened before 10 (bathrooms there also)! Will definitely go back!

We've stayed here twice, we really love it. The location is nice since it's close to Elkton, state park etc
The only downfall is, if you're not a seasonal camper, you get shoved to the area that is not near a bathhouse. Just near disgusting porta potties. Since there's no direct hookup either, you're very limited.
Otherwise very nice campground.

Reserved a site for 7/2-3 and paid for the site. Was on my way down to visit and do work for a cousin and I blew a tire on my camper and have to wait for tires to get installed for a couple of days as I live in Pennsylvania in a small town. The gentleman I spoke to was unwilling to reimburse me for the payment I made for the campsite. I stayed there this past weekend and paid for firewood and never used it and went to return it in the bag that it came in and they wouldn't reimburse for the firewood that I never used. So now I'm out $70 if not more due to circumstances I couldn't control. I would probably stay there again but will make a last minute reservation as that was a lot of money stolen from me as I live on a fixed income.
