They need a few hooks in the women’s restrooms, aside from that we enjoyed a quite night and well monitored camp site.

Greenbelt Campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Washington, DC, offering a safe and peaceful environment. While bathroom facilities could use some updates and maintenance, the campground overall is well-maintained, with friendly staff and a beautiful natural setting. Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere, convenient location near the Metro, and affordable rates, making it a recommendable spot for camping in the city.

So conveniently located to College Park Metro for a trip into DC. Close to grocery stores, gas stations, and other necessities. Easy to find from the B/W Parkway and the Beltway. Some sites in the group tenting loop are not very level so be prepared.

Location for camping is relatively convenient for the DC area I suppose at a very cheap price really when you factor the bathrooms and shower (not the nicest, but hot). The park is heavily wooded which is a nice atmosphere (but traffic noise and random sirens still cut through). Access to the metro really isn't that convenient unfortunately with the University station being closest, but still 2 mi away; almost a bit far to walk really. There is a parking garage there, but your vehicle may not fit in it. In which case drive up to Greenbelt station nearby. There are some bus stops outside the park, but its also kind of unhandy to get around. Everything takes so long to get anywhere it's frustrating. It can be impractical to drive too! None of this is the parks fault, but just be aware what you're getting into. Overall I think the camping is a good value for sure.
