Greenbelt Campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Washington, DC, offering a safe and peaceful environment. While bathroom facilities could use some updates and maintenance, the campground overall is well-maintained, with friendly staff and a beautiful natural setting. Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere, convenient location near the Metro, and affordable rates, making it a recommendable spot for camping in the city.

Our time at the Greenbelt Campground was great. The site was just what we needed to get away and relax for the weekend. Bathroom facilities were clean and the whole check-in procedure was hassle-free. Will definitely visit the campground again.

The restrooms were very nice, the camp site was flat and spacious. The grill grate was in good condition. Neighbor campers were courteous. After our stay, I canceled our upcoming hotel stay in DC and rebooked at Greenbelt! The metro is super easy to take into the city and you don't have to pay $200 for a hotel room and $60 for parking! Will stay over and over again when visiting the DC/Annapolis area!

Since this is the closet campground to DC, be aware of other capers coming in late at night and setting up. They bring along their kids with them and while setting up, making lots of noise between 1200hrs to 0230hrs. If you are one of these, please control your children.

It was nice. The bath house only had one shower and took a long time for everyone to take showers.
