As a wedding planner, I’ve seen countless venues — but Blue Moon Rising instantly stole my heart the first time I visited. When it came to our own wedding, there was no question this was the place.

The setting is stunning, the cabins made it easy for our family and friends to stay on-site, and the staff is truly exceptional — friendly, organized, and so dedicated to making the day perfect. Everything about this venue feels intentional and special.

I had an AMAZING time! Rented the Walden cabin. Nice big bathroom! AMAZING water pressure in the shower. Super cute and efficient design of the tiny home cabin. Tons of room, queen nook bed was comfortable. The cabin had a bunch of amenities so you can cook basic meals in the cabin, keep drinks and food cold in the mini-fridge, and the cabin even has some books and games already in it!!! The grounds are super cute! It is built on a hill so definitely get your leg stretches in or if you are worried about the hill book a cabin closer to the bottom of the map on their website, but it was a great time. There are a couple of community spaces and fire pits on the property and its surrounded by trails and also there are some local eateries that are a short drive away! The view is awesome as well! And the staff are super welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge of the area. A bunch of my friends and I rented a bunch of the cabins and made Blue Moon Rising our little home for a long getaway weekend and it was perfect. I can't wait to come back in the future!

Absolutely beautiful place! Staff is wonderful and accommodating. We stayed in Kaya which was perfect for 2 adults. It is at the top of the hill so it's a bit of a walk for a Florida boy but you can pretty much drive right up to the path and it's perfect. Will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely loved staying here. The cabins are adorable and cozy. We had 3 adults and a dog on our trip and we were all very comfortable the full bath was a lifesaver after an afternoon of hiking the falls. The kitchen is tiny, but completely functional. The teen made ramen on the hot plate and we were able to make bagels and reheat pizza in the toaster oven. You aren’t cooking a 4 course meal, but it works perfectly for normal “camp meals”. The property is very quiet despite being near the highway. Lots of space to wander around and explore. The fire pit looked great. Unfortunately due to wind and wildfire risk, we weren’t able to use it. We will definitely be returning! The staff there was beyond welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had the best “Staycation” ever.

Just finished a 3 day getaway at Blue Moon Rising tiny cabins in McHenry, MD. If you're looking to disconnect for awhile, I'd suggest you go stay at the cabins. There are 14 unique cabins. Just depends on your needs. Each cabin has its own theme. Ours was perfect(Orion). Plenty of room, kitchen, queen size bed nook and nice bathroom. Plenty of hot water! Lights strewn in the trees with plenty of walking trails. A great place to unwind from the everyday hustle. Some cabins have great views of Deep Creek Lake. Magnificent!!
